Birthday Bikini Challenge

April 3, 2012 by Kristin

So it’s that time of year again.  The time of year when I realize I packed on a little too much fluff during the chilly months, my weekend uniform will soon be a bathing suit, and my birthday is right around the corner.  This same sense of panic rushes over me every year around this time.  But this year I’m getting double serious!

Why so serious this year?  Well, this year I’m turning the big 2-9 and there’s a lot of internal pressure that goes on during your final days as a twenty-something-year-old.  I can already feel it.  So double serious it is.

I have approximately five weeks to get into the best bathing suit shape of my twenties.  Competing with my 22 year old self won’t be easy, but I’m making a plan and sticking to it.  Ballet and yoga days will have added cardio and non-yoga days will have AM workout videos.  Weekday dairy (other than the occasional Greek yogurt) will be a thing of the past and fruit with every meal will be the new norm.  I’ll be saying “see ya!” to empty carbs and “helloooo!” to green smoothies.  Bring on the birthday bikini challenge cause twenty nine is going to be a good looking year!

Morning Massachusetts!

March 31, 2012 by Kristin

Good morning from Northampton, Massachusetts!  I woke up bright and early this morning to a singing Sarah and a piping hot mug of dark roast.  After we were fully caffeinated and filled with eggs, we headed to meet Diana for a brisk hike up Mount Sugarloaf.

Sarah brought Diana to Tampa in January so we already had the basics out of the way and were able to chat about the good stuff as we hiked through the wilderness.

It was chilly, chilly, but oh so beautiful.

We made it to the top and took it all in.

And then it was time to get our shop on!
