If you haven’t tried Whole Foods’ garlicky kale, you’re soooo missing out!  It’s the only raw kale recipe that I’ve tried that leaves me sad when my bowl is empty – it’s that good.

Unfortunately, the Whole Foods salad bar in Tampa is seriously lacking and is missing garlicky kale, among many other things.

Fortunately, the food blogging community is amazeballs and I’m not alone in this garlicky kale obsession.  I used Brittany @ Eating Bird Food’s recipe to the tee and it was spot on.

Have you ever turned to the blogging community to find a recipe recreating a restaurant/grocery store obsession?

Confession: I’m kinda afraid of raw kale. It’s great blended but it seems so rough raw! Maybe this will help me overcome the fear – anything that has garlic in the name is temping enough to try!

Try whole foods kale rather than publix kale, it’s more lettuce like and less tough.

    Hi Kristin:
Was thinking about you so I thought I would visit your site and see what you are up to and wanted to see your “blonde hair” as well. Looks “great”. Also, do you take recipes from the public? Experimented today with baked catfish and some herbs in a quickie 15 minute “baked” not fried catfish dish and it was WONDERFUL. Just herbs, a bit of oil and baked on parchment. But I don’t know if you only print from chefs because I am not a chef. Love ya. Grammas friend Harriet

Interesting thoughts though, well I have tried quite a few raw kale recipes as well. So far every thing came out well.
