Adventure Begins in the Kitchen
I had been jonesing for an excuse to re-visit The Bricks since eating there the night of the Ed Sharpe show and today was as good a day as any. My aunt was heading over with the kids and I recalled a few items on the menu that spoke to tiny, picky eaters. I also recalled a portabello sandwich that was high up on my list of ‘must eat again soons’.

Oh Dallas, have I missed you? Well, in a round about technical way, it appears I have. In my twelve months posing as a Dallasite, I literally missed a ton of Dallas foodie musts. I intend to remedy this mishap little by little, each visit.

Although passing by granola place after veggie place after grassy place gave me a sense of being, I had a different mission during my Austin vacation. The only important task on my agenda was checking out the food project a friend of mine has been slaving over for quite some time now: The Shed. If only all “important tasks” could be so un-task-like.
