Oh Dallas, have I missed you?  Well, in a round about technical way, it appears I have.  In my twelve months posing as a Dallasite, I literally missed a ton of Dallas foodie musts.  I intend to remedy this mishap little by little, each visit.

And what better person to do this with than Nathan – a long time pal with whom I share alma maters from middle school, high school, and college.  The first stop on our list?  Hibiscus.

We started off with the Basil Gimlet and Dulce Vida.  De-lish.  We both preferred the Basil Gimlet as, in Nathan’s words, it was flawless.  Flawless indeed, we helped ourselves to another.

After a moment in cocktail heaven, our table was soon filled with duck confit, crab crusted sea bass, prime strip “brick”, reggiano whipped potatoes, and brussel sprouts.

Cost factor aside, everything was good.  Cost as a factor?  Well…  let’s just say $90 per person is a bit much for, in more of Nathan’s words, a totally forgettable steak.
